What We Can Do For You:

Gift Development
Professional Asset Management
Trust Financial Record Keeping
Fiduciary Tax Reporting
Estate Settlement
Cost Efficient Management

The Western Adventist Foundation provides high quality, cost efficient trust and asset management services to Seventh-day Adventist denominational organizations.

Traditionally, planned giving and trust programs have been organized around a conference or institution with all development and trust management duties and operating costs being absorbed by the sponsoring organization.

This has resulted in duplication of management services within the denomination and higher undistributed costs being born by the sponsoring institution.

By out-sourcing the management functions of the trust program, the conference or institution can focus its energies on the development of gifts from supportive donors.

The Foundation was formed by the Pacific Union Conference in 1997 as a California nonprofit religious corporation and began operating in January 1998. It has been accepted for denominational status by the North American Division of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and is tax-exempt under the church IRS 501(c)3 group exemption.

A board of directors, chosen by the membership which is the Pacific Union Conference executive committee, governs the Foundation. It is currently located in Tempe, Arizona.

Technical Aspects

A recognized accounting and trust management software system is used by the Foundation which is accessible through up-to-date computer hardware.  Investment consultants and specialists are used on a regular basis to provide current information for investment decisions.

The Foundation is represented by legal counsel specializing in gift planning and trust law who also has extensive denominational policy experience.

We are enthusiastic about the opportunities that exist to provide service to the church and look forward to helping to fulfill your dreams for your organization.
