Opportunities for support in Arizona are many. Why not consider directing your gifts toward one of these vital ministries?
Thunderbird Adventist Academy:
- Capital improvements include the need to renovate buildings, replace carpeting, roofing, and air conditioning. The academy desperately needs to continually update
technology including computer labs, individual room computer connectivity, and teaching equipment.
Worthy Student Fund
-- There are several worthy student funds already in place to which you can contribute. Or, you can name a fund in memory or honor of someone special in your life.
- Endowed Chair -- Imagine the benefit to Thunderbird Academy an endowed chair would be -- a guarantee that funding will be available to teach a special class, e.g., Bible
or a particular subject in which you have an interest.
Scholarship Fund:
- Academy -- Academic scholarships for students attending Thunderbird Adventist Academy.
- Elementary -- covering students at any school in Arizona
Evangelism:
- Each year over $100,000 is needed to fund evangelism budgets presented by the pastors. Imagine what can happen in Arizona if the pastors who are willing to conduct
public evangelistic meetings receive the funding they need to do so!
Ethnic Ministries:
- African American
- Hispanic
Native American --
The Trail of Hope (mobile classroom and church) travels the Reservations of Arizona with classes for healthful living, Revelation Seminars, Bible study, and church services. Funding is needed to
grow and establish Native American Churches on the 23 Reservations in Arizona
Camp Yavapines:
- Capital Improvements -- Several projects are worthy of your consideration:
Prayer Chapel
seating 100 has been designed for center campus. It will replace the current chapel which is one of the original camp buildings. There are many requests year by year for this
facility for small church weddings.
- Swimming pool --
maintenance for an
Olympic size pool does not come without considerable expense. The pool is absolutely essential for a minimal camp program.
- Cabin Improvements -- Campers are expecting more out of their cabin experience, like bathrooms in each cabin, carpeting, furniture, and more. Why not
consider furnishing a cabin that you may want to use year by year for your camp meeting experience.
- Road Improvements -- The camp meeting experience year by year is a dusty one for campers. Pavement on the main roads would certainly be
welcome. This, of course, cannot be done without a considerable investment.
Please check back here for other opportunities . . . perhaps you may have an idea of something you can do for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Arizona.
In determining your level of support for Arizona Conference ministries, please note that unlike TV, radio and self-supporting ministries, the Arizona Conference may not seek support from
anyone living outside of the State of Arizona.
This is your conference . . . There is no one, but you, who can make a difference in Arizona!
